Kick off event
All new consultants (from Junior to Senior Consultant level) take part in a two-week international introduction course during their first six months at Roland Berger. Usually the setting is a luxurious hotel in a central European location (Germany, Austria…). The event brings together recently hired consultants from all over the world: Europe, The Americas and Asia.
The Kick-off has three main objectives:
- Getting to know the company, its organization and some internal processes (HR, IT, Research, Graphics, etc.). This will enable you to work both more effectively and more efficiently on client assignments when you need support from a different office or from a services department.
- Learning about projects and methods, either through classic seminar lectures given by internal or external trainers on various subjects (strategy, finance…) or by working through case studies in small teams and presenting the results to a jury of partners.
- Networking and having fun. After the formal learning sessions there is plenty of time to meet your new colleagues, establishing your own international network starts here. Again, this will be very valuable in your future projects.
