Your career path
As a university graduate you start as a Junior Consultant. If you already have several years of work experience or an MBA degree, you can join as Consultant or Senior Consultant. Other entry levels are subject to a case by case evaluation.
As a Junior Consultant you are in charge of the in-depth analysis of some of the project's critical issues. You will conduct interviews, search for relevant information, build data models and prepare presentations. As you progress, you will increasingly get more responsibility in terms of autonomy and client interaction.
As a Consultant, you are responsible for structuring and analyzing the client's highly complex problems in an autonomous way. As such, you will meet with the client regularly, understand and analyze the issues by organizing workshops, and perform detailed and comprehensive analyses and give presentations.
As a Senior Consultant you will be responsible for a project's module. You will work closely with the client to fully understand the origin of the problem and structure the required analysis and methodology to solve the problem You must show the necessary leadership to (junior) consultants in the team and discuss the outcome of the analyses and solutions with the client.
As a Project Manager, you are in charge of the complete project (which usually consists of several modules) and responsible for the project's outcome and the client's satisfaction. You will manage the team and client on a daily basis, making sure you get the results on time and within budget.
Depending on your development, and following several years as a Project Manager you will become Principal and then Partner. At that point you will be accountable for the overall client relationship and have ownership of the projects conducted for your clients. Client management will gradually become more important in your work.
The more you progress, the more you will specialize in your areas of interest. As a Project Manager, Principal and Partner you will develop further within one of our international Competence Centers of your choice.
