My personal history prior to Roland Berger Strategy Consultants

I joined Roland Berger about seven years ago after they contacted me and proposed to take up the challenge with them. At the time, I was working for an old and well-established strategy consulting firm, life was good, there was enough pressure internally to make sure we would learn something. But projects could have been more challenging, and the involvement in office development greater. I was learning a lot as consultant but I was hungry for more, I was missing the spark that ignites one's career.

Why did I choose Roland Berger Strategy Consultants?

I think what attracted me to Roland Berger was the challenge of building a successful company with a great team. When I reflect on it, what really motivates me everyday is the constructive way in which we work and manage our people. My opinion is reinforced every day when I see young colleagues gaining in maturity much faster with us than they would anywhere else. They get a very pragmatic view of how companies work, including our own. In a sense, I like the down-to-earth approach we have. It makes us excellent consultants and certainly prepares us for the future.

My recent activities/accomplishments within Roland Berger Strategy Consultants

While last year's economic context was gloomy, I kept working with my clients on development opportunities. For a leading insurer, I have recently developed a 2020 technology vision to assess how technological trends will affect their business in the years to come. For another life insurer, I have assisted the launch of a new European business unit (from opportunity assessment to business case and job description).

Concerning my personal life, I am very proud of my family and being able to combine family and work in a harmonious way, one that works for us. We have three kids and it is fulfilling my life every day.
